Hello,
Roadtrip report!
So me and my GF took our 2015 summer vacation (August), the plan was to visit some of the Maritime provinces, the original plan only included New Brunswick and Nova Scotia but the plan changed along the way and we decided to add Prince Edward Island to the list.
The original plan was also to end the roadtrip with a visit to Bar Harbor, Maine but the weather was not so good so we decided otherwise.
The whole trip was about 4250KM (~2650 Miles), The ///M was flawless except for a horn fuse that blew after ~500KM…

Friday 5PM, let’s go!
First stop, Quebec City, for dinner and a little walk around.
Chateau Frontenac.
Saturday, drove from Rivière-du-Loup, Qc, to Grand Falls, NB.
That was pretty boring.
Next stop, Kouchibouguac National Park, a lot of road work in the park, horrible conditions, didn’t went to the exact place we wanted but still was pretty nice and went to the beach.
Went on to sleep in Shediac, NB and the next day, PEI here we come.
Argyle Shore Provincial Park
Went on to Brackley Beach, very nice place. No pictures.
Then to the Prim Point Lighthouse.
The next day we took the ferry from Wood Islands, PEI to Caribou, NS.
See ya PEI.
The Cabot Trail is coming soon, but not before an afternoon at Inverness Beach, amazing beach.
Sleep time, last night before the Cabot Trail !
So we get on the Cabot Trail in the morning, did a quick wash at a self serve car wash, I hate those but I had to… first way point is pretty nice.
5 more minutes and you’ll see this. WOW.
We went up the Skyline, very nice point of view (It’s a hike, so no car shots)
Continue the Cabot Trail to Pleasant Bay, the road is amazing, with little traffic on a week day, the drive was a lot of fun.
Down in the bay.
Went whale watching. Saw some seals and fin whales.
Further down the trail.
Neil’s Harbor for lunch.
Ingonish Beach
More of the Cabot Trail.
Next day was time go back to a city, Halifax! Went to the beach but it was very foggy and then we walked around the city.
The next day we went down the coast to Lunenburg for breakfeast and then to Carter’s beach.
Lunenburg
Foggy Carter’s Beach, again very foggy.
So we drove down to Digby for some scallops and to take another ferry, to Saint-John, NB.
Still very foggy.
When we get to Saint-John, NB, the fog is still very present, the next day we drove to Hopewell Rocks, we took the scenic route in the park, you can see the Bay of Fundy and Cap Enrage.
Bay of Fundy
Again, there was some road work…
Somewhere between the entrace of the park and Cap Enrage
At Cap Enrage
Got bugs ?
View of Cap Enrage from the bottom.
Time for Hopewell rocks.
Weather was bad all over the region, we tried to go up to Caraquet to avoid the rain but the rain was all over, we slept there on Friday, on Saturday morning we went of to Miscou Islands, weather wasn’t very nice, took some shots and drove back home the same day.
That’s it!
